What the document says

“None of the funds made available in this Act may be used to maintain or establish a computer network unless such network blocks the viewing, downloading, and exchanging of pornography.”

Making consolidated appropriations for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026, and for other purposes, Sec. 5

Subsection (a) of section 503 of division B. It bars the division's money from maintaining or establishing a computer network unless the network blocks pornography. Subsection (b) provides that this does not limit funds needed by any federal, state, tribal or local law enforcement agency, or any other body carrying out criminal investigations, prosecutions or adjudications.

What the document actually says

“None of the funds made available in this Act may be used to maintain or establish a computer network unless such network blocks the viewing, downloading, and exchanging of pornography.”

Making consolidated appropriations for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026, and for other purposes, Sec. 5
That sentence, in plain words

This money may not run a computer network that lets pornography through. The network has to block it.

How to Read This Page

The quotation is the document's own words, exactly as printed, and we check the page number against the Act itself before publishing. The paragraph underneath is our summary, not the document's words. So is the plain English version, which is why it sits beside the quotation rather than replacing it.
