“For necessary expenses of the Federal Bureau of Investigation for detection, investigation, and prosecution of crimes against the United States, $10,609,456,000, of which not to exceed $216,900,000 shall remain available until expended”
The salaries and expenses account of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the largest account in the Justice title. A separate $15,000,000 is appropriated for bureau construction, and section 222 of the title bars further obligation of certain leftover headquarters money until architectural and engineering plans are sent to the appropriations committees.
