The allotment reductions apply only to fiscal year 2028

Subsection (b) of section 6105 amends section 1923(f)(7)(A) of the Social Security Act in two places, striking the words that reached the period from January 31, 2026 through September 30, 2026 and fiscal years 2027 and 2028, and inserting fiscal year 2028. It also strikes the words or period from two subclauses.

Cross out the words naming part of 2026 and two later years. Write in three words: fiscal year 2028.
The older law cut the money for three stretches of time. Now the cut is left for one year only.
