Subsection (a) of section 6211 amends section 1861(eee)(2)(A)(ii) of the Social Security Act by inserting the quoted words. They cover items and services furnished through live audio and video technology, but not audio alone, in the home of a hospital outpatient, on or after January 31, 2026 and before January 1, 2028.

This covers care given over live sound and video. It does not cover sound alone. It runs from January 31, 2026 up to January 1, 2028.
