What the document says
“With respect to an authority described in paragraph (1), the date specified in this paragraph is the later of-- (A) September 30, 2026;”
The end date is whichever comes last: September 30, 2026; the date already set for that authority by the 2018 Act or a law amending it, including titles I and V of Public Law 119-21 and the Expanding Public Lands Outdoor Recreation Experiences Act; or the date already in effect under section 4101 of division D of the American Relief Act, 2025.
What the document actually says
“With respect to an authority described in paragraph (1), the date specified in this paragraph is the later of-- (A) September 30, 2026;”
That sentence, in plain words
Each power runs to the latest of a set of dates. One of them is September 30, 2026.
What this is about
Some farm programs already had end dates further out. Those are not pulled back. The rule picks whichever date is latest.

How to Read This Page
The quotation is the document's own words, exactly as printed, and we check the page
number against the Act itself before publishing. The paragraph underneath is our summary,
not the document's words. So is the plain English version, which is why it sits beside the
quotation rather than replacing it.
