What the document says

“(1) in clause (i), by striking "10 months" and inserting "11 months"; and (2) in clause (ii), by striking "2 months" and inserting "1 month".”

Making continuing appropriations and extensions for fiscal year 2026, and for other purposes, Sec. 6213

The section amends section 251A(6)(D) of the Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act of 1985 (2 U.S.C. 901a(6)(D)), which divides a fiscal year into two parts for the purpose of the Medicare sequester. One month moves from the second part to the first.

That sentence, in plain words

What This Page Covers, and What It Leaves Out

Both edits the section makes.

Nothing else. The section is two edits to one subparagraph.

The section works by amending the Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act of 1985. That law is not indexed here, so this file does not say what the two periods govern or how deep any cut is.
