What the document says
“by striking ``the period beginning on October 1, 2024, and ending on March 31, 2025'' and inserting ``fiscal year 2025''”
Subsection (1) amends section 510(a)(1) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 710), replacing the half year that ended March 31, 2025 with the whole of fiscal year 2025, and striking the words 'or 2025'.
What the document actually says
“by striking ``the period beginning on October 1, 2024, and ending on March 31, 2025'' and inserting ``fiscal year 2025''”
That sentence, in plain words
The half year is taken out. The whole budget year 2025 is put in.
What this is about
The budget year runs from October 1 to September 30. The grant had covered only the first half. Now it covers the whole year.
No action is recorded against this proposal. That is not evidence that none has been taken, and nobody has yet read it against the record. See what the tracker does not yet cover.

What the document says
“in subsection (f)(1), by striking ``the period beginning on October 1, 2024, and ending on March 31, 2025, an amount equal to the pro rata portion of the amount appropriated for the corresponding period for'' and inserting ``for fiscal year 2025, an amount equal to the amount appropriated for''.”
Subsection (2) amends section 510(f)(1) of the Social Security Act so the amount is the full appropriated amount for the year rather than a share of it worked out by the length of the period.
What the document actually says
“in subsection (f)(1), by striking ``the period beginning on October 1, 2024, and ending on March 31, 2025, an amount equal to the pro rata portion of the amount appropriated for the corresponding period for'' and inserting ``for fiscal year 2025, an amount equal to the amount appropriated for''.”
That sentence, in plain words
The old words gave only a share of the money. The new words give the whole amount for the year.
What this is about
A pro rata share means a slice sized to the time. Half a year meant half the money. Now the full year gets the full amount.

Both edits the section makes: the change to the grant period and the change to the amount rule that goes with it.
Nothing in the section is left out.
The section works by amending section 510 of the Social Security Act. That law is not indexed here, so this file does not say what the grants pay for or who may get one.
