What the document says

“in subparagraph (B)(i), by striking ``the period beginning on October 1, 2024, and ending on March 31, 2025'' and inserting ``fiscal year 2025''”

Making further continuing appropriations and other extensions for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2025, and for other purposes, Sec. 2302

Subsection (1) makes the same change in two places in section 513(a)(1) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 713): in subparagraph (A) and in subparagraph (B)(i), the half year that ended March 31, 2025 becomes the whole of fiscal year 2025.

What the document actually says

“in subparagraph (B)(i), by striking ``the period beginning on October 1, 2024, and ending on March 31, 2025'' and inserting ``fiscal year 2025''”

Making further continuing appropriations and other extensions for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2025, and for other purposes, Sec. 2302
That sentence, in plain words

The half year is taken out. The whole budget year 2025 is put in.

What this is about

The budget year runs from October 1 to September 30. The grant had covered only the first half. Now it covers the whole year.

What the document actually says

“in subsection (f), by striking”

Making further continuing appropriations and other extensions for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2025, and for other purposes, Sec. 2302
That sentence, in plain words

Part of the text is taken out and new words are put in.

What this is about

The old words gave a slice of the money sized to the time. The new words give the whole amount from the year before. That amount is paid for budget year 2025.

What This Page Covers, and What It Leaves Out

Both edits the section makes: the change to the grant period and the change to the amount rule that goes with it.

Nothing in the section is left out.

The section works by amending section 513 of the Social Security Act. That law is not indexed here, so this file does not say what the grants pay for or who may get one.
