Parole into the United States carries a fee
What the document says“the Secretary of Homeland Security shall require the payment of a fee, equal to the amount specified in this section and in addition to any other fee authorized by law, by any alien who is paroled into the United States.”
The section requires the Secretary, except where an exception applies, to charge a fee on top of any other fee to any alien paroled into the United States. For fiscal year 2025 the amount is the greater of $1,000 or what the Secretary sets by rule, and it rises each year with the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers, rounded to the next lowest multiple of $10. All the money goes into the general fund of the Treasury.
