What the document says“For fiscal year 2025, the amount specified in this section shall be the greater of--”
The section sets the amount for fiscal year 2025 at the greater of $100 or what the Secretary sets by rule, and from fiscal year 2026 raises it each year by the rise in the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers for the July before the change, rounded down to the nearest dollar. All the money goes into the general fund of the Treasury and the fee may not be waived or reduced.
