The cap on government investment in privatized housing rises to 60 percent
What the document says“During the period beginning on the date of the enactment of this section and ending on September 30, 2029, the Secretary concerned shall apply--”
The section requires the Secretary concerned, from enactment through September 30, 2029, to read paragraph (1) of section 2875(c) of title 10, United States Code as if it said 60 percent in place of the figure it carries, and paragraph (2) of that subsection as if it said 60 percent in place of 45 percent. The term Secretary concerned takes the meaning given in section 101 of title 10.
What the document actually says“During the period beginning on the date of the enactment of this section and ending on September 30, 2029, the Secretary concerned shall apply--”
For a set period two figures are read differently. That period runs from this law to September 30, 2029.
Both figures become 60 percent. They cap what the government may put into privatized housing. The older law they sit in is not indexed here.
