What the document says

“For each of fiscal years 2026 through 2034, the Secretary shall sell timber annually on National Forest System land in a total quantity that is not less than 250,000,000 board-feet greater than the quantity of board-feet sold in the previous fiscal year.”

To provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of H. Con. Res. 14, Sec. 50301

The section requires the Secretary of Agriculture, acting through the Chief of the Forest Service, to sell in each of fiscal years 2026 through 2034 at least 250,000,000 board feet more timber on National Forest System land than was sold the previous fiscal year. The National Forest System here does not include a forest reserve not created from the public domain.

What the document actually says

“For each of fiscal years 2026 through 2034, the Secretary shall sell timber annually on National Forest System land in a total quantity that is not less than 250,000,000 board-feet greater than the quantity of board-feet sold in the previous fiscal year.”

To provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of H. Con. Res. 14, Sec. 50301
That sentence, in plain words

The Secretary must sell more timber each year. Each year must beat the last by 250 million board feet. That holds from fiscal year 2026 through 2034.

What this is about

A board foot is a unit of cut wood. The rise builds on the year before. So the target climbs each year.

The quotation is the document's own words, exactly as printed, and we check the page number against the Act itself before publishing. The paragraph underneath is our summary, not the document's words. So is the plain English version, which is why it sits beside the quotation rather than replacing it.
