Section 10506 · Sec. 10506 ·

What this chapter is about

This part puts a new figure into an older crop insurance law. The old wording ran on with no end year. The new wording caps the old figure at fiscal year 2025 and sets $10 million from fiscal year 2026.

What the document says

“is amended, in the matter preceding subclause (I), by striking "for each fiscal year" and inserting "for each of fiscal years 2014 through 2025 and $10,000,000 for fiscal year 2026 and each fiscal year thereafter".”

To provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of H. Con. Res. 14, Sec. 10506

The section strikes the words for each fiscal year in the matter preceding subclause (I) of section 516(b)(2)(C)(i) of the Federal Crop Insurance Act (7 U.S.C. 1516(b)(2)(C)(i)) and inserts words closing the older run at fiscal year 2025 and providing $10,000,000 for fiscal year 2026 and each fiscal year after.

What the document actually says

“is amended, in the matter preceding subclause (I), by striking "for each fiscal year" and inserting "for each of fiscal years 2014 through 2025 and $10,000,000 for fiscal year 2026 and each fiscal year thereafter".”

To provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of H. Con. Res. 14, Sec. 10506
That sentence, in plain words

Four words are taken out of an older law. Longer wording is put in. It ends one run of years and sets $10 million for later ones.

What this is about

The old words ran on with no end. The new words stop at fiscal year 2025. From fiscal year 2026 the figure is $10 million a year.

What This Page Covers, and What It Leaves Out

The one thing the section does: replace an open-ended run of fiscal years with a closed one and a new figure for later years.

Nothing in the section is left out. It contains only this one amendment.

The section works by amending section 516(b)(2)(C)(i) of the Federal Crop Insurance Act, which is not indexed here, so what the money is spent on cannot be checked against anything on this site.
