The spending ceiling rises to $2,000,000 a year through 2030
What the document says“by striking ``$1,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2019 through 2023'' and inserting ``$2,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2026 through 2030''.”
The section doubles the ceiling in what is now subsection (f) of section 547A of the Public Health Service Act, from $1,000,000 to $2,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2026 through 2030.
What the document actually says“by striking ``$1,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2019 through 2023'' and inserting ``$2,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2026 through 2030''.”
The old top amount was $1,000,000 a year. The new top amount is $2,000,000 a year. It runs from 2026 through 2030.
The subsection carrying this figure was moved from (e) to (f). That move was bookkeeping. The number itself is what changed.
