Reporting must include employment and earnings outcomes
What the document says“which shall include employment and earnings outcomes described in subclauses (I) and (III) of section 116(b)(2)(A)(i) of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (29 U.S.C. 3141(b)(2)(A)(i)) with respect to the participation of such individuals with a substance use disorder in programs and activities funded by the grant under this section”
The section amends section 7183(i)(2) of the SUPPORT for Patients and Communities Act to require reporting of employment and earnings outcomes, drawn from two named subclauses of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, for people with a substance use disorder taking part in the funded work.
What the document actually says“which shall include employment and earnings outcomes described in subclauses (I) and (III) of section 116(b)(2)(A)(i) of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (29 U.S.C. 3141(b)(2)(A)(i)) with respect to the participation of such individuals with a substance use disorder in programs and activities funded by the grant under this section”
The reports must now cover jobs and pay. The measures come from another law. They apply to people in the program.
Using measures from another law keeps the numbers alike. The same yardstick is used across job programs. That older law is not indexed here.
