“Mr. Speaker, today I honor the courageous and selfless lives of two Tremonton-Garland police officers, Sergeant Lee Sorensen and Officer Eric Estrada, who were tragically killed in the line of duty on Sunday, August 17, 2025.”

“Mr. Speaker, I appreciate the opportunity to address the floor this evening and to give that opportunity to some of my colleagues also, if their schedule permits. We don't get enough opportunities to speak to the American people, and I don't get enough chances to speak to my constituents back home, particularly from the House floor.”

“No one also has called out the fact and reality that at some point, with some of the larger mandatory spending programs, we are going to need Democrats and Republicans to join forces to put the Nation first to solve the problems of sustainability and solvency of programs like Social Security and Medicare that our seniors depend on so that they can have peace of mind and so that our children can actually expect the same safety nets and the same opportunities in this country.”

“Mr. Speaker, I thank the gentleman from Kansas (Mr. Schmidt), who had excellent points. We all talk about small business. We all use it as a line and a bullet point, and we all say that we support them, and then where does the actual policy come in?”

“Going back to the reconciliation package--and we are working on, particularly, the tax portion--we are looking to deliver positive results to our small businesses and craft policies that will allow them to thrive.”

“Mr. Speaker, again, yesterday marked 100 days since President Trump took office for the second time. It has been a whirlwind 100 days, to say the least, as his administration has taken swift action to reverse many of the Biden-era policies that I believe brought major challenges to American businesses and families.”

“Mr. Speaker, I thank the gentleman from Tennessee. I always appreciate his consistent voice and willingness to support Special Order hour. Again, there are many wins to focus on, and I can't emphasize this enough.”

“What it has done is helped to deliver justice. We passed the Laken Riley Act. It is now law. It even got bipartisan support at the end. It is a powerful reminder that this administration will never forget those whose lives were taken by illegal immigrant crime.”

Israel has done what it must do in order to defend itself from these indiscriminate terror attack that happened from within Hamas and still holding many hostages, both Israeli and even some Americans.”
